"Whether I take a journalistic approach through the thorough research of a particular topic and with a respect for the power of the written word, or a scientific approach through observation, dissection and experimentation, I am always the artist who deliberates over life's details, who aims to capture the ephemeral, and who values learning through play, and expressing through laughter, wit and honesty. I work by assembling existing objects or concepts of everyday reality with words, photographs, drawings or other materials in order that they may magically take on a new meaning or personality."
